Thanks to a successful Big Lottery ‘Young People’s Fund 2’ funding application, we are expanding our Blend Youth Project provision to incorporate a second youth base in Heanor.  We have been awarded a five year Big Lottery grant of £363,811 to support with the core running costs of the new centre.

The project will be located at 15 Mundy Street, Heanor and will establish a much needed multi-activity centre for young people in Heanor and surrounding areas offering a similar range of youth provision as is featured on the ‘Our Work’ page of this website.

Young people will have access daytime and evenings to a safe, informal social environment and undertake a range of activities of their choosing that will, improve their leisure time opportunities, health, quality of life, reduce the risk of young people getting involved in alcohol/drug misuse, crime and anti-social behaviour and promote their economic well-being and contribution to society.
