The Youth Work Department of Valley CIDS is well established with several youth initiatives operating within our local area.  We are committed to raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of the young people we work with through programmes and projects which contribute to:

• Improving well-being and promoting informed choices and positive decision making.
• Offering crime diversionary activities.
• Raising aspirations through participation and active citizenship.
• Facilitating personal, social, educational and spiritual development.
• Raising self-esteem and achievement through creative challenges.

We currently employ a Head of Youth Development, Project Administrator together with two full-time Youth Workers and three part-time Youth Support Workers.  In addition to employed staff we also depend on the commitment of a passionate volunteer base.  We are committed to working in partnership to deliver quality youth provision in the area and as such we enjoy good relationships with a number of key agencies in our locality.
