Blend Youth Project on Nottingham Rd, Ripley, is part of the youth work provision of local charity Valley CIDS. We opened in February 2007 as an attempt to address a gap in service provision for young people in Ripley and surrounding areas. It has come about through consultation with 300+ young people in the area and has been designed with their opinions/suggestions in mind.
The Valley CIDS youth work team operates from our base at Blend and since opening Blend Youth Project has supported over 400 young people through a diverse range of provision and a sustained commitment to ‘Raising Aspirations and Releasing Potential’.
The ethos of the project is best captured in the tag line, "Raising Aspirations, Releasing Potential". We want to provide space in which young people can feel safe and supported to aspire, to achieve in their lives and to provide activities and programmes which are designed to capture and release their potential. |
